Venue: 1MK (1 Mont Kiara), Ground Floor, next to Times Bookstore ( 1MK is accross the road from McDonalds in Plaza Mont Kiara)

Time: 12.00 Registration

12.45 Start

Entry Fee: RM8

Format: Swiss rounds – Joust Tournament (Melee if fewer than 6 players) – 45 Minute rounds. CORE SET ONLY (Can use between 1 – 3 boxes of the core set, standard deck building rules apply)

Prizes (assuming 8 or more players):

1st Place – 3 League Points*

2nd-4th Place – 2 League Points

5th-Xth Place – 1 League Points”

*League Points – We will reward our players with League Points for every tournament they participate in. League points will be carried forward throughout our 3 month tournament programme. Every 6 League Points will entitle a player to a single Chapter Pack (old or new) or redemption of other AGOT merchandise i.e. Card Folders, playmats, and other League kit contents (other merchandise subject to availability feel free to ask your TO for more details, we’re still working on what prizes will be available for points redemption)

Looks like tabletop gaming is slowly getting a technology update. We have seen console gamers enjoying boardgames such as Catan and Carcassonne, and now avid card gamers can finally play a trading card game on the iPhone platform!

It certainly looks like WoW TCG, and even when you start, the classes that you can pick your free starter deck is eerily familiar. I haven’t started playing it, so I can’t comment on the gameplay yet, but so far, the graphics looks pretty good.

So, if you have an iPhone, then you might want to consider downloading Shadow Era. The app is free but I am pretty sure you will need to pay for booster packs. Have fun!

Satisfy your gaming needs before then

We will be closed earlier tomorrow at 7.30pm, Saturday, 16 October 2010 and closed on Sunday, 17 October 2010. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Good news for all miniature players as we now have a range of products from Gale Force Nine. With Flames of War a staple game at our store, and some of our customers picking up Warmachines: Hordes, miniatures is fast becoming the hobby of choice here.

So, if you are looking for a lil extra in your miniature hobby, do check their products out at our store in Paramount Garden and you can also pick up some Vallejo paints too!
